March Madness

Sorry for the delay, but life has been completely busy. My dad went overseas to Saudi Arabia and performed Hajj. It is a ritiual that Muslims are suppose to do once in their lifetime. It was a very eventful trip, and my dad has many stories he tells about his adventures. After going to Saudi, he traveled to Pakistan for three weeks to see family, he hasn't seen in almost 10 years. While he was gone, I was running the business full-time and going to grad school, which kept me extremely busy.

Being that I'm in my last semester, I have my capstone project to work on as well as one other class. My capstone project is very time consuming, but in the end, I think it will be a very good thing to have in hand as well as for CAIR-SC.

To make my life more busy, my time is being spent watching march madness and some great basketball games. I am watching the BC vs. Nova game at the moment, and it is just incredible. BC had a lead of 16 points, but then it was cut down to six points at halftime. As the second half starts, BC has a 3 point lead. Needless to say, this game is everything it should be!

George Mason and Wichita St are great stories in this year's tournament. I didn't have them going this far, but man it is great to see teams like that making it. I am so excited that Duke lost last night. I had them playing Texas on Saturday, so now Texas has to beat LSU. LSU is a great team, and they have some great players. That will be the game to watch tomorrow night.

I find it really hard to do my school work at the moment, but I am going to find time. May 6th at 10:30am, I will have my Master's degree. Hopefully, be moving to DC in the month of June or July and starting a new job and getting my apartment. Needless to say, this month is keeping me busy. Applying for jobs is going to be tying up my time as well. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can find a good job in DC.

My plan when I got back from Spring Break was to write a journal about my trip to Boston, but as you can see, my life has been filled with other things. However, I just want to say that the trip was incredible. I got to see Fenway Park, Salem Witch Trials, Blue Man Group, Freedom Trial including the North Church, Cheers Bar, and Anita Berryman. Anita was my old co-worker at Shoor & Company, and I have never met her in person before this month. It was incredible to finally meet someone after four years of friendship. Her children were soo cute and friendly. Her son's 6 yld basketball team is just soo cute, and the kids were fun to watch. The 8 yld group had some good skills, and her daughter played really well! Needless to say, I went to Mike's and had some of the best seafood chowder I have ever had. On Sunday, I went on an all-u-can eat Chocolate Tour of Boston for 3 hours, and I can say I had more chocolate in one sitting than ever in my life. I had ONE HOUR of all you can eat dessert of chocolate. It was just heaven! My brother's birthday was that day as well, and it was great!

Last night I went to bed before the end of the Texas game and UCLA game, and I missed two exciting games. I hope I can stay up tonight to see how UCONN (my pick to win) plays! My final two teams are the same in each of my four brackets Texas vs. UCONN, and I have UCONN winning. They just have great players, great inside defense, and guards you can't stop. John Calhoun is one of the best coaches ever in NCAA basketball. He can adopt his gameplan to win a game no matter what the circumstances are. I can't wait!

Missouri is having a hard time finding a coach to replace Quin, and I am just hoping they can find someone who can take his place to bring up a good team. UAB coach is being mentioned, but I wish that Alford from Iowa would have taken the job. He would have been a great fit. Everything will work out for the best.

I'll try to write twice a week on different issues, and I hope to keep this up even after I graduate and move up to DC. Have a good night!
