I knew I was in trouble...

Yesterday, I worked out with the strength training day, and I knew I was in trouble when the first workout routine after stretching was getting my chair (usually only for dips) and putting my feet on the seat and hands on the ground. Terrible Tony wanted me to do 8-15 push-ups this way and aim for 20. Needless to say, I was shocked, but I only had strength to do four.

The rest of the workout is about the same as level 1-2, but there is an extra circuit. Also, I did 5 sets of lunges (4 each set), and the second set of lunges Tony adds 5 sets of squats. Needless to say, my legs were getting a workout. Near the end, Tony has you doing as many push-ups as possible over one-minute period, and I did 20 push-ups. The last move is as many squats as possible in one minute. I did 20 because I was getting really tired near the end.

At the end of the entire workout (along with 200 crunches), I started to feel sore for the first time since I started to workout with P90. It definitely is difficult, but I'm looking forward to the challenge! I'm hoping by the time I end P90 in a few weeks that i can do 8 push-ups at the beginning of the workout. I'm hoping that tomorrow goes much better.

I'm dedicated to finishing 90 days and take a week off. Then, I'm going to keep going with P90 through December. I'll start P90x in January. I hope that I can get through the next phase. I'm tired! I got up at 5 a.m. this morning to workout because of work and other things going on today.

I'll write another blog next week!

Moving on up...

So, today I started the 3-4 level of P90, which I have been avoiding for about a week or so. With this level, I'm not only increasing the the amount of Cardio workouts, but I'm now doing 200 crunches. Needless to say, my first day went pretty well. Terrible Tony kept me moving the entire time. I realized that level 1-2 was good, but I needed more of a challenge.

In the strength training day, I am up to 14 push-ups wide and normal as well as the 21 at the end of the routine. I'm definitely building muscle and strength in my arms. I'm still doing only 10 dips, but I'm improving in other areas of the workout.

I can definitely tell that I've lost weight and inches. I have three more weeks left of the P90. I'm looking forward to taking a break for a week. After my annual convention, I'm going to start P90x, which I know will be rough. Let's hope that I can get through it!

I'll keep y'all posted about my 200 crunches a day for the next few weeks.
